DYEING FABRIC

I always wanted to do this! Well the F.A.T girls made me do it! Granted, I am no expert on this so I did the best I could. I dyed the fabric with plain old Rit dye and then I used markers to draw on the fabric my own designs...

I think this challenge unleashed a new monster!

SPRING AND CREATIVITY

HELLO! Finally it looks like spring...(not today in Ohio)....but looks like by the end of the week Spring will be here to stay!
As you may know RoseMary and I belong to aco op Peninsula Art Academy and we will be participating in a Fiber Art Show this summer.

INSPIRATION BY ASSOCIATION

You may think I am just rambling on...but I am still in shock as to the way joining FAT has affected my creativity. The desire to give something of myself that is unique and heartfelt to one of my Fat friends is exhilarating!I believe I am addicted!
As you all have surely experienced, we sometimes make with all our hearts a creation to give as a gift. Sometimes the receiver, just out of ignorance of the work involved and the thought behind it, thanks us as if we had bought a cheap item at the store 5 minutes ago.
Granted, my mother said that' the joy which we feel as we make it, thinking of that person, has greater impact than what the receiver feels himself/herself."
But I have to say that giving a gift to one of my Fat friends, knowing that they will know and appreciate it every stitch, is a great reward!

Thank you FAT girls for awakening the artistic muse!
